Dr. Danette L. Brown has been with Mercy University since 2018.  She has over 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector focused on workforce development, child welfare, and education in urban communities. She has a Doctorate in Philosophy from Capella University with a concentration in Nonprofit Management. For the last 15 years, Dr. Brown has provided leadership support for over 20 early childhood programs, including Head Start, Family Childcare, and home visiting programs. She has extensive experience in supervisory and executive-level roles and skills and experience with start-up programming, community organizing, advocacy, organizational management, service coordination, program performance, and evaluation. Dr. Brown has over 10 years of experience teaching at online and in-class institutions. At Mercy University, Dr. Danette Brown is a senior lecturer in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, where she brings her experience and knowledge to support students in achieving their academic and professional goals.
